Before season 3 of The Witcher arrives, Netflix revealed the launch date for spin-off Blood Origin, set a full 1000 years before Geralt’s adventures.
The 3rd season of The Witcher won’t be coming until next year, unfortunately, but a journey into the world of Andrzej Sapkowski is still on the cards this year. The prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin will premiere on Netflix. Unfortunately, no trailer was released at the Netflix Tudum event, but we do have a poster with the start date.

What is The Witcher: Blood Origin about?
Not much is known yet about the concrete plot of The Witcher: Blood Origin. As a prequel, the series will delve deep into the mythology and past of the continent and take place 1200 years before the main series.
Blood Origin is set to unravel the greatest mysteries of The Witcher world and tell us more about the cosmic event of the Conjunction of the Spheres as well as the creation of the first Witcher.
