Plot and background
After an extradition of violent criminals from Manila in the Philippines is disrupted by a suicide bombing at the airport, police officials decide that the next group of criminals should be transported by sea to Busan. Under heavily armed police guard, the dangerous convicts unite aboard the cargo ship “Frontier Wolf” in a coordinated escape attempt that soon escalates into a bloody riot. But as the fugitives continue their brutal campaign of terror, they soon discover that not even the most vicious among them are safe from the horrors they have unwittingly unleashed in the darkness below deck.

The explosive horror film premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on 16 September 2022 and will be released in cinemas here on 2 March 2023.
