While fans wait for the next season of the Konosuba anime adaptation, an adaptation of a Konosuba spin-off series is in the works. A recent Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World trailer has revealed that the series will premiere on April 5, 2023.
A new trailer for the upcoming anime was released on Tuesday, showcasing some new footage from the series and debuting the show’s theme song artists. Machico will perform the opening theme song, “Stay Free,” while Rie Takahashi and Aki Toyosaki will perform the show’s ending theme, “Jump In.”

The original Konosuba anime premiered in 2016 and is currently developing its third season. The series is based on the manga of the same name written by Natsume Akatsuki. The spin-off series began as a light novel spin-off in 2014, which also received a manga serialization that ran from 2016-2017 and collected five volumes total.
