Plot and background
Fate puts many an unusual obstacle in front of the success of the peace negotiations between humans and Romulans. For example, Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) must realize that his counterpart on the Romulan side has been cloned from Picard’s own genes and would now like to keep his “brother” by his side as a living gene pool. Although the captain and crew are able to escape, they now face a new type of secret weapon whose destructive power threatens not only the Enterprise, but all of humanity.

The Enterprise is once again on a diplomatic mission. The goal this time is to make peace with the Romulans.
