His destination is a temple in the north: The Tiger’s Nest. The monks there have conspired with the predators and protect their habitat. “The Legend of the Tiger’s Nest” – background, cast, cinema release

In fact, there is the so-called Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan at a lofty height of 3120 metres, built into the middle of the Himalayan mountains. Legend has it that a Buddhist guru once flew to the site on the back of a tigress, meditated for three months and then not only converted the region to Buddhism but also tamed the tiger demon. Since then, the tigers have been revered in the area.

Although the filming for the family adventure film did not take place in Bhutan, but in Nepal, the breathtaking scenery is nevertheless a given. The main roles are played by the young Sunny Pawar (“Lion – The Long Way Home”), Claudia Gerini (“The Passion of the Christ”) and Amandeep Singh (“Hotel Mumbai”).

“The Legend of the Tiger’s Nest” will be in cinemas from 20 October 2022 and has been given an FSK rating of 6 years and above.
