The Swedish streaming platform Topic released the first official trailer for its upcoming release of Agatha Christie’s Hjerson, a television series based on the Agatha Christie character.
The series is set to stream exclusively on Topic, with its first two episodes dropping on Thursday, December 1, 2022, and new episodes dropping weekly after that. The series comes from producers behind the hit horror film Midsommar and is based on a character that character author Ariadne Oliver (also created by Christie) created in various Christie novels.
Much like Christie’s other detective character Hercule Poirot, Hjerson is a renowned detective known for his acute senses and ability to solve crimes.

Agatha Christie’s Hjerson stars Johan Rheborg, Hanna Alström, Maria Lundqvist, David Fukamachi Regnfors, Björn Andrésen, and Peter Kanerva, and according to its synopsis, “is a modernization of a classic Agatha Christie character Sven Hjerson, a once renowned criminal profiler who suddenly chose to retire from the spotlight, and Klara Sandberg, a trash TV producer who wants to reset her career with a true crime show that would star him. Hjerson has just been informed of his mother’s death and is forced to return to The Åland Islands. Klara manages to track him down and is on the same cruise ship heading to the archipelago. On the ship, a young journalist is murdered. A reluctant Hjerson and a zealous Klara start to solve a string of murder mysteries.”
Audiences in North America looking to watch the series can do so on Topic beginning on December 1, 2022.
