More than three years have passed since season 2 of “Jack Reacher” was launched on Prime Video. Now the 3rd season is finally available for subscription – and once again John Krasinski has to deal with a conspiracy on a grand scale!
With “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”, Amazon Prime Video has pulled off a real coup. The action series is one of the most popular and definitely also most spectacular formats of the streaming service. The average rating on IMDb, among others, shows how well the series is actually received, because there “Jack Ryan” gets a pretty strong 8 out of 10 possible stars. The fans’ wait for season 3 was all the more difficult after the second season was already launched on 1 November 2019 (!).
Now, however, the time has finally come, because the third season of “Jack Ryan” is now available in the Amazon Prime Video subscription. And the timing couldn’t be better, because it’s perfect to watch the new season (consisting of 8 episodes) over the Christmas holidays. If you want to watch the first two seasons again beforehand, you can of course do so with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
THIS IS “JACK RYAN” SEASON 3
Jack Ryan (Joseph Krasinski) gets to uncover a vast conspiracy in season 3 that revolves around Russian nuclear weapons. Without official permission from his employer, the CIA, the agent suddenly finds himself on his own in Europe. Killers from an international criminal organisation are breathing down his neck, who apparently want to do everything they can to forcibly re-establish the old borders of the Soviet Union.
Of course, it is clear that “Jack Ryan” continues to rely on the very classic suspense scenarios for which Tom Clancy has always excelled. For fans of agent series such as “Reacher”, “The Terminal List”, “Mission: Impossible” or “Jason Bourne”, “Jack Ryan” is of course just the thing. Not only because the plot may seem old-fashioned as usual, but is nevertheless quite complexly interlaced, but also because of the lush, often handmade action. Joseph Krasinski didn’t pack on a few extra muscle for nothing!
Besides John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce (“The Wire”) as Jack’s boss and Michael Kelly (“House Of Cards”) as his ex-colleague are also back in the game. The new faces in the cast include Betty Gabriel (“Discreet”), James Cosmo (“Game Of Thrones”), Alexei Manvelov (“Stockholm Requiem”), Peter Guinness (“Alien 3”), Nina Hoss (“Tar”) and Michael Pena (“Ant-Man”), who is being introduced here in a supporting role and is not only to take on a leading role in the already confirmed fourth season. At the moment, work is also being done on his own spin-off around his character.
