Stars from “Game Of Thrones”, “James Bond” & “Star Wars”: Cast for.

by Mike

The second season of Amazon’s “The Lord of the Rings” series is already in production. In addition to returnees such as Morfydd Clark and Charlie Vickers, there will also be many new faces – three more names for the main cast have now been confirmed.

So if these aren’t actors who know their way around big, successful franchises, we don’t know what is. Amazon has just confirmed three new cast members for the second season of the fantasy series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” – and they are Ciarán Hinds from “Game Of Thrones”, Tanya Moodie from “Star Wars – Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker” and Rory Kinnear from the “James Bond” films with Daniel Craig.

According to the official press release, all three will be seen in recurring roles, so should be part of the main cast in season 2. The downer of this news is that it has of course not yet been revealed which roles the stars will be taking on. So the speculation in the fan forums can begin…

THIS IS CIARÁN HINDS, TANYA MOODIE AND RORY KINNEAR

Ciarán Hinds played Mance Rayder, the “King Beyond the Wall” in the fantasy class leader “Game Of Thrones”, was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in Kenneth Branagh’s “Belfast” and voiced villain Steppenwolf in the DC actioner “Justice League” – to name just a few of his numerous and varied roles.

Tanya Moodie played General Parnadee in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, had roles in series such as “The Man Who Fell To Earth” and “Motherland”, and will be seen in Sam Mendes’ “Empire Of Light” in cinemas from 20 April 2023.

And Rory Kinnear is guaranteed to be familiar to Bond fans as M’s assistant Bill Tanner in the more recent “James Bond” films – he last played the role in “James Bond 007: No Time to Die”. In the series field, he was in front of the camera for the pirate satire “Our Flag Means Death” alongside Taika Waititi and as Frankenstein’s monster for the horror highlight “Penny Dreadful”, among others. He also starred in Alex Garland’s disturbing parable “Men – What Seeks You Will Find You”, which premiered at Cannes in 2022.
