According to Amazon Prime Video’s own information, the fourth season of “LOL: Last One Laughing” advanced to become the “most watched German title of all time on Prime Video in Germany and Austria.” So it’s only logical that the comedy success format, in which stars compete against each other and are not allowed to laugh for several hours, is going into a next round. But we’ll have to wait until the fifth season of “LOL. “
5TH SEASON “LOL” – FROM EASTER 2024 ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO
Because as Amazon Prime Video and host Michael Bully Herbig jointly announced, a 5th season of “LOL” will come to Amazon Prime Video on Easter 2024. That speaks to a late March / early April 2024 launch date, which is pretty much a year after the current fourth season, which was released April 6-20. This maintains the 1-year gap that existed for the third season, which was released in April 2022.
Only in the beginning did “LOL” go faster. After the first season, which was released in April 2021, the second season followed in October 2021. The first three seasons appeared in an interval of only half a year. It is possible, however, that the audience does not want to be oversaturated with the format too quickly and is therefore relying on the annual rhythm. Of course, it remains to be seen which stars will try to make their colleagues laugh this time, while keeping a straight face themselves. It is likely to be a mixture of “LOL” newcomers and old acquaintances who are competing for the second time.
