In addition to the subscription service Prime Video, Amazon also has the free service Freevee. And there you can find in July 2023 not only the terrific slasher double “Scream” and “Scream 2”, but also two really strong science fiction films.
In addition to the well-known streaming platform Prime Video, Amazon has also had a second service for some time: Freevee. There you can stream numerous films and series without a subscription and without additional costs, but you have to put up with commercial breaks. Now Amazon has revealed which Freevee content you can look forward to in July 2023 – and after a very weak June, there are some really strong titles again this time, including the slasher double “Scream” and “Scream 2” and two science fiction secret tips.
The first sci-fi secret tip is available directly on Freevee on 1 July 2023, namely “Moon” with Sam Rockwell as a lonely astronaut who makes a shocking discovery on a moon base. Also starting on 1 July are the aforementioned “Scream” and “Scream 2” as well as “The Expendables 3” and the series “Cedar Cove” (seasons 1-3) and “The Streets of San Francisco” (seasons 1-5).
For the second sci-fi secret tip, you’ll have to wait until 22 July 2023, but then you can look forward to a real genre highlight: “I Am Mother”. The story of an android who allows an embryo to mature into a human baby on the day after the extinction of the entire human race and takes care of it for years like the titular mother is clever, exciting and has a great twist.
Finally, an important note: The above list is based on Amazon’s announcement of Freevee titles in July 2023. In the past, it has happened more often than not that errors have crept into these announcements. For example, films and series have been released differently than planned or there have been mix-ups with the same or similar titles.
