A new Heartstopper Season 2 trailer for the queer Netflix romantic comedy series has been released, previewing the second season ahead of its August debut.
What happens in Heartstopper Season 2?
“Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship,” reads the second season’s synopsis. “Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.”

Heartstopper is led by Kit Connor as Nick, Joe Locke as Charlie, Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent, Corinna Brown as Tara Jones, William Gao as Tao Xu, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy Olsson, Tobie Donovan as Isaac Henderson, and more. Olivia Colman is also returning as Nick’s mother in the new season.
Additionally, Season 2 will feature new cast members Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Bradley Riches as James McEwan, and Nima Taleghani as Mr. Farouk, along with Bel Priestley as Naomi, Ash Self as Felix, and Thibault de Montalembert as Nick’s father Stephane. Heartstopper Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on August 3.
Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series of the same name, Heartstopper is written and created by Oseman, with Euros Lyn serving as director; the series is produced by See-Saw Films.
