“Tomb Raider” is not only a brand in the gaming segment. Movies, comics and merchandise have also been developed around Lara Croft. With “Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft” we can now also expect a Netflix series. Here’s the trailer:

Yes, it’s simply impossible to imagine pop culture without the adventures of Lara Croft in the various “Tomb Raider” guises. But until now, one thing has been missing: a series! But that, too, awaits us soon on Netflix.
The streaming service with the big red N has now released the first trailer for the anime series “Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft”. It doesn’t reveal when exactly the series will start, but you can take a first look at the video game icon and find out directly what the look of the legendary adventurer is based on.
THIS IS “TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT “
It was first revealed in early 2021 that Netflix has commissioned a “Tomb Raider” series in collaboration with Legendary. The series, which will feature “Agent Carter” star Hayley Atwell in the titular role, will tie in with the video game reboot trilogy. This consists of the games “Tomb Raider” (2013), “Rise Of The Tomb Raider” (2015) and “Shadow Of The Tomb Raider” (2018). This is also noticeable in the animated appearance of the protagonist.
What exactly the animated series is about is not yet known. However, you can expect to accompany Lara Croft as she explores new areas. It was written by “The Witcher: Blood Origin” author Tasha Huo, who also serves as executive producer. Whether Netflix will succeed in reviving the spirit of the video game series remains to be seen. The films with Angelian Jolie and Alicia Vikander still have a hard time with fans of the video game series.
