The war film disappointed at the box office (via The Numbers ) and failed the critics, who criticized a weak script in particular (via Metacritic ). About a year after its release, the film returned to the newspapers because Willis sued the producers: a projectile had apparently hit him in the head when pyrotechnics were detonated on set (via The Guardian ).
What sounds very alarming in itself may have had tragic long-term consequences. According to the British tabloid The Sun, relatives are considering a connection between the injury and his dementia.
