According to Schnittberichte, The Beekeeper has been given an FSK-18 rating following a review. This means that minors are not allowed to watch the upcoming action film with Statham on the big screen. As Schnittberichte has been confirmed by German distributor Leonine, David Ayer’s new film has been given an uncut 18 rating.

In the plot of the film, Statham plays a beekeeper whose neighbor loses her money because of a phone scam and then commits suicide. The protagonist therefore embarks on a merciless campaign of revenge against the rip-off company. It turns out that his calling as a beekeeper is just a front for an organization of former special agents and professional killers.
