The long-running crime series Navy CIS and all its spin-offs were set in the USA. For the new spin-off, the franchise is breaking the two-decade-old rule and you’ll soon be able to stream it
Navy CIS has been providing crime thriller fans with new episodes and scandals involving Mark Harmon’s dog since 2003. With the three previous spin-offs Navy CIS: L.A., New Orleans and Hawaii, the franchise has always remained within US borders for 20 years. This is now coming to an end. The fourth NCIS spin-off is heading to Australia and the tentative start date for NCIS: Sydney has finally been confirmed
Now it’s confirmed: NCIS Sydney will start in Germany in January 2024
NCIS: Sydney starts on January 18, 2024 in Germany on Paramount+ . This is reported by DWDL . A new episode will be released every Thursday. Season 1 has a total of eight episodes.
This is what NCIS: Sydney is about: the new spin-off unites an international team made up of American NCIS agents and Australian Federal Police officers. At the center is Olivia Swann (Legends of Tomorrow) as NCIS agent Michelle Mackey. She leads the five-person team that we follow on their cases in NCIS: Sydney. Her major challenges include not only the geographical circumstances of the Sydney location, but also the communication and cooperation between two disparate and culturally diverse teams and nations.
Other roles include Todd Lasance (Spartacus), Sean Sagar (Mea Culpa), Tuuli Narkle (Mystery Road: Origin), Mavournee Hazel (Shantaram) and William McInnes (Dirty Deeds).

The title of the spin-off is also a rule-breaker. While all other series in the franchise in Germany have chosen the Navy CIS spelling for their titles, NCIS: Sydney is based on the original English spelling. Incidentally, the NCIS parent series only narrowly escaped one of the silliest titles of all time.
The first season of NCIS: Sydney has already aired on the original broadcaster Paramount+ Australia and was a great success. Although a second season has not yet been confirmed, it seems possible
