The Max Max sci-fi franchise will soon continue with the blockbuster movie Furiosa. According to an interview, this could soon be followed by the 6th installment in the series.
Where would Fallout be without the groundwork of the Mad Max series? Probably in a long-forgotten bunker. The post-apocalyptic sci-fi franchise from director George Miller will soon be entering its fifth round with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. There is already a storyline for another movie, as Miller reveals. He hints that a small part will already be seen in Furiosa.
Continuation of legendary sci-fi series: Mad Max 6 to tell Max’s backstory
According to Entertainment Weekly Miller revealed:
In preparation for Mad Max: Fury Road, we also wrote about what happens to Max in the year leading up to the events of the movie. And as we get closer to the end of Furiosa, Max had to be in there somewhere, because we knew what was going to happen. We have a whole story there that I would love to make into a movie if I get the chance.
So, as Miller hints, the end of Furiosa runs together with the Fury Road prequel. According to Entertainment Weekly, the moment in which “Max appears” refers primarily to a scene with his iconic Interceptor car
In fact, another Mad Max film called Mad Max: The Wasteland has been under discussion for years. Whether this is the Fury Road prequel mentioned by Miller is unclear. Max actor Tom Hardy has since stated that two more films in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi franchise are planned alongside Fury Road.
