But the situation is different with the promising replacement Cross: The crime series about a hard-boiled investigator from the US capital Washington D.C. is coming later this year.
Amazon Prime launches a gigantic thriller universe with Reacher replacement Cross
The series revolves around Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), a detective with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department who is on the trail of brutal violent criminals. What makes him unique is his ability to empathize extremely deeply with his prey. In the original, the protagonist starts out as a family man and widower who wants to solve the murder of his wife.

As reported by Deadline and others, the first season of the series is scheduled to start on Amazon Prime Video on November 14, 2024. With Alex Cross, the streaming service has landed a thriller universe with an almost endless supply: crime writer James Patterson has now written 32 novels and two novellas. Not to mention the three books about Alex’s son Ali.
