It has been clear since mid-2021 that he will take on the lead role in the Highlander reboot, which has been planned since 2008. Highlander reboot with Henry Cavill to be filmed from 2025
As Collider exclusively reports, filming of the fantasy reboot has been scheduled to start in January 2025. Production is then set to begin in Scotland. The director has previously talked about combining classic historical and legendary elements with supernatural details and familiar stunt action for his Highlander version.
The upcoming Highlander film is certainly not being teased as John Wick with sisters a lot in early reports by accident. Fans of the Keanu Reeves series can once again look forward to powerful choreography and tough fights.

Stahelski told Collider that his fantasy vision is not simply a series of generic sword fights. Instead, he wants to shed light on the mechanisms involved in handling the weapon.
In his opinion, stunt work with swords will be a particular challenge, as the action with them is very difficult to learn and requires a lot of preparation. For his Highlander reboot, Stahelski wants nothing less than to develop and show a completely new form of swordplay that has never been seen before
