Norman Reedus could bring back his The Walking Dead character Daryl Dixon in his own spin-off series. He probably has big plans for the character for many years to come
The end of The Walking Dead was just the beginning for several spin-offs from the successful zombie universe. The current spin-off series include, for example, Daryl Dixon with Norman Reedus in his eponymous starring role. As the star has now explained, he wants to remain loyal to The Walking Dead franchise for many years to come.
Norman Reedus wants to continue enriching The Walking Dead with original ideas
In an interview with Mr. Feelgood, the star talked about wanting to play Daryl for another six or seven years. He then explained in more detail what would make the TWD spin-off so appealing to him:
‘The spin-off with Daryl Dixon gave me the opportunity to take the show in a different direction than the original series. I didn’t want to do the same show again in a different place. I wanted to reinvent it.
And they let me invent something new together with the other like-minded people. So it feels fresh to me. It’s in a different language. It’s shot differently. It’s not really about zombies and who gets bitten this week, it’s completely different. As long as I keep reinventing it, it’s fun.
In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the character has moved to France, where he has to find his way in a completely new environment and in a different language.
Here’s another trailer for season 1 of the Daryl series:
When does the 2nd season of The Walking Dead spin-off with Daryl start?
Season 2 will start in the USA on September 29, 2024 and will be released with the additional title The Book of Carol. In Germany, the new episodes will probably always be shown on MagentaTV one day after the US broadcast. TWD fans can probably look forward to six new episodes
