A really nasty mix of disaster movie and survival thriller has taken the top spot on the streaming charts on Amazon Prime Video. There’s also an animal horror element to it.
Last week, the outstanding Challengers dominated the top 10 most popular films on Amazon Prime Video. This week, there is a new winner to announce – and it’s a doozy. No Way Up is officially the most popular film title in the streaming service’s catalog. You can expect an hour and a half of high-octane excitement.
Now on Amazon Prime Video: In No Way Up, a plane crashes into the ocean and is surrounded by sharks.
No Way Up has an extremely promising premise that should immediately captivate every genre fan. We follow the people on a flight from Los Angeles to San José del Cabo in western Mexico. But then the plane is hit by a bird migration and panic ensues.
What follows is a dizzying emergency landing, although it can hardly be called a landing. The captain of the aircraft just manages to position the metal colossus on a submerged rock in the ocean. Now the crew and passengers just have to find a way to escape before the air runs out.

But the suspense elements don’t stop there: in addition to the disaster movie, No Way Up mixes in a good portion of animal horror and gives us a hungry pack of sharks that sense their next meal. Now that’s what I call a nerve-wracking and entertaining movie night!
