To Catch A Killer: Gripping thriller starring Shailene Woodley as an inexperienced police officer who embarks on a feverish manhunt for a homicidal shooter.
Plot and background
It was supposed to be a boisterous party into the New Year when a rampage shooter wreaks havoc in Baltimore on Silver Star night. Twenty-nine people are killed in a high-rise building, each shot fired by the gunman from a high-rise balcony, hitting his target with one hit each. There is no trace of fingerprints. When young police officer Eleanor (Shailene Woodley) is called to the scene, FBI agent Lammark (Ben Mendelsohn) quickly recognizes her instinct to empathize with the perpetrator. Spontaneously, he wants her to join their special operations team, even though she has a mental health condition and once failed the FBI employment test due to her inner demons.
Another bloodbath in a shopping mall underscores the killer’s unpredictability. The race against time begins, accompanied by internal competence disputes. Will Eleanor be able to confront her mental issues to apprehend the enigmatic mass murderer?
