At the end of the month, it is usually particularly worthwhile to keep an eye out for the latest films on Amazon Prime Video. This weekend is no exception: Until Sunday (25 September) you can rent hundreds of films for just 99 cents!
In addition to numerous catalogue titles, the offer also includes many brand-new highlights that landed in the home cinema not so long ago and were even still in the cinema in 2022: You can find an overview of all the titles here:
You can still take advantage of the 99-cent offer up to and including Sunday, but the rented films will then of course be available to you for longer: Once rented, you have 30 days to watch the films. And as always, we would like to draw your attention to some of the latest films, some of which have never been available at such a low price before.
STREAM NOW FOR 99 CENTS ON AMAZON
“Morbius”: The Marvel blockbuster with Jared Leto (“Suicide Squad”) has been almost universally panned by audiences and critics alike, but completists now have the chance to finally catch up on the film to close a gap. So if you didn’t want to spend money on a cinema ticket a few months ago, you can now relax and rent “Morbius” on Amazon Prime Video for a very small amount of money.
“Fantastic Beasts 3: Dumbledore’s Secrets”: In the third installment of the “Fantastic Beasts” series, Dumbledore (Jude Law) tasks Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) with leading a group of wizards, witches and a brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission to finally stop Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen).
“Sonic The Hedgehog 2”: The world’s most popular blue hedgehog (German voice: Julien Bam) is back! While Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) goes in search of an emerald as rare as it is powerful, Sonic embarks on a mission to dissuade the cunning villain from his scheme.
“King Richard”: There’s probably not a person in the world who hasn’t caught the Oscar scandal involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. It almost went unnoticed that Will Smith also received the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role that evening – for “King Richard”. Everything revolves around the true story of Richard Williams (Will Smith), who paved the way for his daughters Venus and Serena to become world-class tennis players with his relentless ambition and boundless love.
“Ambulance”: Michael Bay’s latest action thriller is an absolute feast for adrenaline junkies – and one of his best films in a long time (the official FILMSTARTS review gave it a whopping 4 out of 5 possible stars). If you haven’t seen this uninhibitedly explosive spectacle yet, you should definitely do so. And of course loudly!
In addition to these films, which only started in German cinemas in 2022, classics such as “Jurassic Park”, “Dirty Dancing”, “American Pie”, “The Night Gun”, “In a Land Before Our Time”, “Terminator”, “Good Will Hunting”, “Interview with a Vampire” and “Dance of the Vampires” are also on offer – and of course some cinema highlights (such as “Hereditary”) from previous years.
