The School of Magical Beasts 2: Second film in the popular children’s book series by German author Margit Auer.
Film plot and background
Second film in the popular children’s book series by German author Margit Auer.
There is a magical secret at the Winterstein School. If you’re lucky, you’ll find the best friend you can imagine there: a talking animal. Ida Kronberg (Emilia Maier) and her friend fox Rabbat (voice of Max von der Groeben) have already passed the first adventure. But to keep the secret, the kids have to come up with some clever things.
The “School of Magical Animals” – the school’s nickname – will soon be celebrating its school anniversary. A musical is to be performed for the occasion. Will the class manage to pull together, or will the performance descend into chaos? The youngsters around Benni (Leonard Conrads) can once again rely on the help of their magical animals and realise that teamwork is the key to success. A new magical animal from Mister Morrison’s (Milan Peschel) pet shop is also given to classmate Jo (Loris Sichrovsky). The penguin Juri (voice of Rick Kavanian) helps Jo in word and deed, but when Jo has his eye on Ida, Juri’s advice, of all things, could lead to him getting involved with another classmate instead. Plus, there’s the mystery of the weird holes on the school grounds to solve.
