Harrison Ford could soon be hitting the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Star Wars and Indiana Jones. According to a rumour, he will lead the Anti-Avengers team in Thunderbolts
There is no shortage of great franchises in Harrison Ford’s filmography. As Han Solo and Indiana Jones, he has embodied two of the most iconic film characters ever. The leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe could soon follow. A new rumour tells of a very exciting casting decision at Thunderbolts.
At Comic-Con in San Diego, Thunderbolts was officially announced. As the last film of Phase 5, it unites several antihero:ins on the big screen. This team is brought together by General Thaddeus Ross, who was previously portrayed by William Hurt in the MCU. However, the actor passed away in March 2022.

Now Ford is rumoured to be taking on the role. Although Marvel insiders say the actor has not yet been cast, scooper Jeff Sneider has been told by multiple sources that he is Marvel’s first choice for the replacement. As such, this is a rumour that should be taken with a great deal of caution.

As Sneider elaborates on the Hot Mic podcast, there was consideration of announcing Ford's casting at the D23 Expo. However, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy didn't want the announcement to take attention away from Indiana Jones 5. Instead, Marvel chief Kevin Feige introduced the rest of the cast on stage.
