Amazon has released a new poster ahead of the upcoming finale of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Conspicuous: the two hottest Sauron candidates are missing on it.
Where is Sauron? Who is Sauron? Hardly any question currently occupies fans of the Middle Earth epic The Rings of Power more than the mystery surrounding the identity of the titular Lord of the Rings. Amazon is also aware of the numerous speculations and theories and likes to play with our expectations.
Prime Video most recently revealed an ominous one Sauron reveal. And now a poster for the upcoming finale of the first season follows. However, two of the most important Lord of the Rings characters are missing on it, which many fans have traded as possible Sauron candidates. Maybe because Sauron is already represented on the poster?
Sauron candidate Halbrand is missing from the new Lord of the Rings poster
The new Lord of the Rings poster features the central hero:ins of the series surrounded by a horde of orcs. The mysterious sword, on which Sauron’s symbol can be seen, also has a prominent place in the picture. But if you look closely, you will notice that some important figures are conspicuous by their absence.

“Everything has led to this.”: With this ominous promise and the new poster, Amazon announced on Twitter the “epic finale” starting on 14 October on Prime Video *. This “goal” can really only be the unveiling of Sauron, who may have been hiding right before our eyes all along.
Could the mysterious stranger actually be Sauron? Or did the countless Sauron clues to Southland King Halbrand lead us on the right track in the end? The fact that these two figures, of all things, are missing from the poster is conspicuous. But why should Sauron also be on the new poster when his symbol is already represented?

Of course, these are not the only missing characters from the poster. Likewise, there is no trace of Gil-Galad, Bronwyn, Theo, Adar as well as Isildur. But especially Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) and the still nameless stranger (Daniel Weyman) are more hotly discussed than any other characters, which makes their poster absence seem extremely strange. Or is Amazon trying to throw us off the scent, like the master of manipulation and deception himself?
But one thing should be certain: In the finale, we can look forward to a hopefully spectacular resolution of the Sauron mystery. Because let’s face it: The first season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power should not end without the appearance of the Rings of Power as well as the Lord of the Rings.
