After the successful return to live-action films, the animated adventures of the fantasy action franchise are also celebrating an amazing renaissance. The latest title in the series is “Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind”. Here is the trailer:
In “Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind” we meet the tyrannical King Kano (voice in the English original: David Wenham). He is hell-bent on taking over the entire Earth Kingdom. With the help of his unscrupulous mercenaries, the Black Dragons, he attacks one city after another. Anyone who does not voluntarily submit is mercilessly wiped out.
Only one man is not willing to kneel before Kano: young Kenshi (Manny Jacinto). When the villain and his henchmen attack him as a result, the brave but still too undisciplined Kenshi loses both his eyesight and large parts of his self-confidence.
Fortunately, the wise teacher Kuai Liang (Ron Yuan) finds him and takes him in to train him. After all, he knows that Kenshi is the only one with enough strength to stop Kano. In time, Kuai Liang, who was once a legendary warrior himself under the name Sub-Zero, gives the hero back his lost hope. But will it alone be enough to stop Kano, who appears more powerful than ever, and save the homeland of both men from his cruel yoke?
Happy 30th anniversary to Mortal Kombat! If you’re looking to mark the day, give a spin to the Mortal Kombat Legends animated movies! “Scorpion’s Revenge” is easily the best MK film to date, with “Battle of the Realms” and “Snow Blind” both worth the watch!
