R.I.P.D. gave Ryan Reynolds a terrible sci-fi flop 9 years ago. Now there’s the first trailer for the surprisingly announced R.I.P.D. 2.
R.I.P.D. – Rest in Peace Department had an intriguing premise but still flopped at the box office as a completely disjointed film (via Box Office Mojo ). RIPD 2 tells the back story of Ryan Reynolds’ partner from part 1
There are many adjectives one could use to describe D. H. Peligro’s drum style – furious, unpredictable, funny, inventive, incredible. I also cannot convey just how cool and kind he was as a person the one night I got to hang out with him. R.I.P. DHP pic.twitter.com/cAFComTCLN

In the second part, the story apparently finally becomes a mix of sci-fi and western. It tells the back story of Wild West marshal Roy Pulsipher (Jeffrey Donovan), who was portrayed by Jeff Bridges in the prequel.
The latter dies in a robbery and finally has to do what his alter ego has been doing for a century in Part 1. As part of the afterlife police, he apprehends ghosts who can’t let go of their earthly existence beyond death.
