The over 3 hour long sci-fi epic Avatar 2 has received a new long trailer. James Cameron’s blockbuster launches in cinemas this Christmas season.
The biggest movie event of the year is getting underway: Avatar 2: The Way of Water opens in German cinemas in a month and a half. Recently, the sci-fi blockbuster’s mega running time leaked out, dwarfing even the longest Marvel films and even some Netflix series. After the atmosphere-centric first teaser, the new long trailer now reveals more about Avatar 2’s content to fill that runtime.

The first part of the trailer focuses on the connection with the nature of the planet Pandora, after all, viewers will have to get used to the Avatar feeling again after being away for over a decade. The razor-sharp underwater images leave the biggest impression. But Avatar 2 is not supposed to be a filmed large aquarium with a running time of 3 hours.
In the second part, therefore, a threatening mood creeps into the action: The war against humans flares up again, symbolised by a human skull that Jake crushes with his hand.
When will Avatar 2 be released in Germany?

What happens in Avatar 2?
Avatar 2 picks up 13 years after the events of Departure to Pandora. The main characters Jake and Neytiri have started a family and do everything they can to stay together. At some point, however, they are forced to leave their home when the invaders return from Earth. In the process, they discover other areas of Pandora and come across Kate Winslet’s character Ronal, who leads the Metkayina tribe. This tribe has settled on the surface of the ocean on Pandora.
