The end of The Walking Dead is coming soon. A huge spoiler has been hidden in the first images of the final episode after 11 seasons. Has the fate of a character already been revealed?
In a few days, the final episode of The Walking Dead will be shown. And after years of dilly-dallying, the series is stoking anticipation for the finale with a tremendous sense of urgency and tension just before the end, with a few questions left to answer. Will Rick make an appearance? And who will die in the final battle?

Ahead of the airing of the 24th episode of The Walking Dead season 11, US broadcaster AMC recently released plenty of photos offering some exciting glimpses of the hotly-anticipated finale. One picture, however, reveals a little too much. And that is the possible death of a character.
The Walking Dead: Was Luke’s death accidentally revealed in the finale?
At first glance, the spoiler may not be noticeable. We see in one image Carol (Melissa McBride), Princess (Paola Lázaro) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan), heavily armed, confronting the vast horde of undead descending upon the Commonwealth and surrounding the survivors in a narrow alleyway.

But if you look closely, you’ll spot a familiar character lying on the ground behind them surrounded by corpses: Luke (Dan Fogler). Is the member of the group around Magna, Connie and Yumiko already dead? Or do the characters protectively stand around their unconscious friend?
The picture raises some questions. And on Twitter numerous fans are already sure that the shocking death of Luke was spoiled here. In the meantime, the broadcaster AMC has removed the spoiler image from the press page again.
The character Luke, who has been part of the cast since season 9, has just made a surprise return after being absent for over two years. Only to be killed off straight away, perhaps? Luke’s demise wouldn’t be entirely surprising. In The Walking Dead comics, he died much earlier in the course of the Whisperer War. His severed head landed on Alpha’s border fence.
When is The Walking Dead season 11 episode 24 airing on Disney+?
The final episode of the final season of The Walking Dead will be released early morning on Monday, November 21, 2022 on Disney+. The series finale will be just over 60 minutes long (90 minutes including commercials). In the US, episode 24 will air shortly before at 3:00 a.m. German time on 21 November.
