Ryan Reynolds is the ideal Deadpool for many. However, at one point, The Boys and Supernatural favourite Jensen Ackles was in talks for the role.
Not many superheroes are as strongly associated with their performer as Deadpool is with Ryan Reynolds. Yet he was originally anything but the only choice for the loudmouthed Marvel mercenary. It was almost The Boys and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles who took over the role.

“I was heavily in the conversation for one film, [which was] Deadpool. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time. I really like that movie. But my ex-girlfriend was in it, so it might have been embarrassing. I might have ruined the film for a lot of people. But for me it would have been cool. “

Who his “ex-girlfriend” is, is not known. Ackles objects that if he had vacancies, he would have had to go through the selection process for the role first. So he was not yet in the final selection for Deadpool.
If the Supernatural star had gotten the role, his career would almost certainly have been different. We might have had to do without his The Boys appearance. Reynolds fans will be glad. After all, they would have missed out on the one and only Deadpool.
