For a whole year, fans of “Emily in Paris” had to wait for season 3 of the romantic comedy series by the “Sex And The City” creator. But now the sequel is finally available for download on Netflix. And it doesn’t end there…
Originally, “Emily in Paris” was developed for the US broadcaster Paramount Network before the series moved to Netflix in 2020 – where it proved to be a real stroke of luck for the streaming service. Even the criticism that too many clumsy France clichés were served here and the controversy surrounding a questionable Golden Globe campaign (several eligible voters for the award were given a luxurious trip to Paris) could not prevent “Emily in Paris” from becoming an instant success – which season 2 then even topped.
Although a sequel was quickly decided, fans still had to be patient for a year (which was not quite as long as season 2). But now, just in time for Christmas, there will finally be a sequel: The third season of “Emily in Paris”, which will once again consist of ten parts, can be viewed in its entirety on Netflix from today, 21 December 2022.
“EMILY IN PARIS” SEASON 4 ALREADY DECIDED
It will now be exciting to see how the new “Emily in Paris” episodes will do in the Netflix charts, after season 2 achieved the feat of rivaling even “The Witcher” last year. For weeks, the season placed just behind the long-awaited second season of the fantasy smash hit in terms of hours watched.
Me to my self before I start to watch Emily in paris season 3 knowing that that series makes no sense to my brain, but I just cannot abandon it after 2 seasons pic.twitter.com/vjSjXhzNjR

This is an even more astonishing achievement when you consider that the second “Emily in Paris” season, with its half-hour episodes, was shorter overall than the second “The Witcher” season, so conversely it may even have been watched by slightly more people (although there are no official figures on this).
This year we could even imagine “Emily in Paris” beating “The Witcher”, or in this case “The Witcher: Blood Origin”. Because once again, the next contribution to the Witcher universe will start almost at the same time (on 25 December). The chances for Emily are particularly good here because “Blood Origin” is “only” a spin-off that will probably not quite match the success of the main series.
The fact is: “Emily in Paris” is such a success for Netflix that the streaming provider has ordered two more seasons directly after season 2. So the series will stay with us at least until season 4. But for now, subscribers can look forward to the third season.
SO THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE 3RD SEASON OF “EMILY IN PARIS “
We remember: The second “Emily in Paris” season ended with a massive cliffhanger. Emily (Lily Collins), an American who emigrated to Paris for a job at the hip fashion company Savoir, was faced with a difficult choice in both her love life and her professional life. On the one hand, she has to decide whether to return to her marketing job with Madeline (Kate Walsh) in Chicago or accept the offer of her Parisian boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) to leave Savoir and start a new agency.
On the other hand, she is also torn between two options on the male front: Does she still have a future with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) or would she rather give London-based Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) a serious try?
Season 3 now shows us how Emily – with a new look – desperately tries to make the best possible decisions and what new challenges still await her against the picturesque backdrop of the City of Love.
