The upcoming 5th season Mayans MC will be the last. The spin-off also marks the end of the entire Sons of Anarchy universe.
After the end of Sons of Anarchy, the series about a criminal biker gang was continued with a spin-off. In the course of the spin-off Mayans MC, characters from the main series have also appeared again and again. Now it is certain that the Sons of Anarchy universe will end after the upcoming Mayans MC season.

5th season Mayans MC will be the last
As Variety reports, the upcoming 5th season Mayans MC will mark the spin-off’s finale. The announcement doesn’t come as a surprise, as series co-creator Elgin James already talked about having an ending in mind during the premiere of season 4 and reaching it soon.
The first Sons of Anarchy season started in 2008. The final 7th season aired in 2014. With the Mayans MC finale after 5 seasons, the complete Sons of Anarchy universe thus ends after a total of 15 years and 12 seasons.
Whether we will never see anything from the Sons of Anarchy universe again is not yet final. In October 2022 we reported that Charlie Hunnam is interested in a return of Jax Teller and is working on a concrete idea. Who knows if that will happen after Mayan’s MC ends…
