In a public appearance, the author of The Witcher book templates also commented on the Netflix series. His terse statement is not very flattering
For the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher, author Andrzej Sapkowski’s book templates served as much more of an inspiration than the better-known video games. In a recent public appearance, the author commented on the future of the novels and also gave his brief opinion on the Netflix series. However, it is not really positive.

The Witcher book author not very euphoric about Netflix series
According to Redanian Intelligence Sapkowski spoke about the future of The Witcher novels at the Taipei International Book Exhibition 2023. For the author, the main story is finished, and his vague plans for further books include more prequels or sidequels devoted to other aspects of the universe.
During his appearance, he was also asked about his opinion of the Netflix series. To this he said succinctly:
“I’ve seen better. I’ve seen worse. “
It doesn’t sound like enthusiasm and the statement seems more like the author of The Witcher novels wanted to hold back with stronger criticism.
The 3rd season of the Netflix series is scheduled to start in summer 2023. It will be the last episodes with Henry Cavill as the star. For season 4, Liam Hemsworth will take over the role of Geralt.
