Who would you like to see as Deadpool’s (Ryan Reynolds) new adversary? Princess Diana, perhaps? Emma Corrin played Diana in the Netflix series “The Crown” – and has now landed the highly coveted Marvel part.
With Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, we already have two heroes in “Deadpool 3” – well, Deadpool being more of an anti-hero. But even though he has a big mouth, he is somehow the good guy in his Marvel film series. And of course there needs to be a villain or a villainess so that Deadpool can fight someone. And for this part, the cast has now been found.
As Deadline reports, Emma Corrin has landed the villain role in “Deadpool 3”. Corrin follows in the footsteps of Ed Skrein, who played the villain Ajax in part 1, and Josh Brolin, who played mutant Cable in “Deadpool 2” – even before “Deadpool” became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Brolin was seen almost simultaneously in the “Avengers” films as the chief villain Thanos. Ryan Reynolds celebrated the new addition on Twitter:
New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin! ⚔️❤️⚔️ pic.twitter.com/LSobi4AqO9

Emma Corrin became best known for a role in the Netflix series “The Crown”, in which Corrin played the young Diana Spencer, who later became Princess Diana, in season 4. And at the end of 2022, Emma Corrin could then be seen in two streaming films – once alongside Harry Styles in “My Husband’s Lover” on Amazon Prime Video and then also in the erotic literary adaptation “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” on Netflix.
Who exactly Emma Corrin will play in “Deadpool 3”, however, has not yet been revealed – so the guesswork as to which character from the Marvel comics would lend themselves can begin. “Deadpool 3” is directed by Shawn Levy (“Free Guy”), the cinema release date is 6 November 2024.
Incidentally, Emma Corrin has landed another very exciting-sounding role in a major Hollywood production – proving to be one of the hottest shooting stars in the industry at the moment. According to Deadline, Corrin will also be seen in the “Nosferatu” remake by “The Northman” director Robert Eggers. The cast of the vampire horror film already includes Bill Skarsgård in the title role, Lily Rose-Depp, Nicholas Hoult and Willem Dafoe.
