It’s the end of an era: the original heroes Ash and Pikachu are leaving the Pokémon series. But there are two big consolations for anime fans
The Pokémon adventures of Ash (German voice: Felix Mayer) and Pikachu (Ikue Ôtani) have delighted anime fans since 1997, but after almost 26 years, it’s over. The two heroes are making room for new main characters. At the end, there was once again a touching farewell.
After last Pokémon scene: Is it really the end for Ash and Pikachu?
The last episode with both characters was recently aired in Japan. Ash and Pikachu can be seen running towards the sun and being eyed one last time by Team Rocket.
After almost 26 years of adventures, Ash Ketchum and his partner Pokémon, Pikachu conclude their journey in the Pokémon anime. I can’t express how grateful I am to @rica_matsumoto3 ❤️ Thank you for everything, Ash and Pikachu. I will miss you both so much ❤️ Anipoke アニポケ pic.twitter.com/HupUepEK94

Even though Ash has now won the biggest coaching competitions, his chase for absolute mastery will probably never end. However, the two will soon be replaced by four new Pokémon heroes. This is a ray of hope for all fans of the two veterans for two reasons.
On the one hand, the new protagonists will also include a Pikachu that differs from its better-known cousin in that it has a snazzy flight captain’s cap. Incidentally, it is very likely that the two favourites will turn up for guest appearances in the new adventures.
When will the Pokémon finale and the new series come to Germany?
When exactly Ashes and Pikachu will be broadcast in Germany is not yet known. The start of the new Pokémon adventures also does not yet have a start date in our country. The broadcast of the anime cult on Super RTL is just under 50 episodes behind the Japanese original (via Fernsehserien.de ).
