Netflix has officially renewed the serial killer hit You for a 5th season. It will be the last. Plus, there’s a change behind the scenes
Since the 4th season You – You Will Love Me also achieved enthusiastic viewing figures for Netflix, a renewal was only a matter of time. Now the streaming service has taken the decisive step and officially confirmed the 5th season of You. Alongside a first video for it, it is also clear that it will be the last season.

Netflix’s controversial hit series Killer will end with the upcoming 5th season then. According to Netflix the series was set to run that number from the start, making the original plan of those in charge.
A behind-the-scenes change has also been announced for the You finale. Current executive producer Sera Gamble is stepping down as showrunner. Her post will be taken over by long-time writers Michael Foley and Justin Lo.
An exact start date for You season 5 is not yet known. Netflix has only given 2024 as the release year so far.
