Season 2 of Sandman is said to be filmed over two different time periods. This could make the Netflix sequel appear in two parts à la Stranger Things.
After three months of waiting, Netflix announced that the fantasy series Sandman will get a 2nd season. Fans will have to be patient for now, as new episodes are not expected to be released until mid-2024. Now new information about the Sandman sequel has emerged. They suggest that the new season of Netflix’s fantasy hit could appear in two parts like Stranger Things.
Netflix’s Sandman season 2 will be filmed over two different time periods
According to Redanian Intelligence the new Sandman episodes will be shot in two blocks. The first part from June to October 2023, the rest from January to April 2024. This decision could mean that the Netflix sequel will then also be released in two blocks on the streaming service.
From Netflix, this move would not be a surprise. Season 4 of Stranger Things, for example, was also released in two parts. In addition, the 1st season Sandman was first released supposedly in its entirety, with a bonus episode being released a little later.
So far there is no official information about the release strategy of the 2nd season Sandman. However, since the first episodes of the sequel are not scheduled to be filmed before June 2023, fans can expect a start in early to mid 2024 at the earliest.
