Game of Thrones already proved that over the years and cemented with House of the Dragon very recently that family drama is the best drama. HBO, however, has a completely different series on offer with Succession, which has perfected the theme of “people stabbing each other in the back in a highly entertaining way. “

Plot: What’s next for one of the best series of the last 10 years?
Season 3 ended dramatically: patriarch Logan Roy announced that he would not hand over his company to his children, but rather sell it to a tech company. What does this mean not only for the family dynamic between the Roys, but also for the show itself, after all, succession within the company was the defining plot element?
Well, we’ll find out. Trade media such as Variety shared an initial content synopsis from HBO describing Season 4 as:
“In the 10 episodes of Season 4, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson draws even closer. The prospect of this all-changing sale leads to existential angst and family discord among the Roys, who envision what their lives will be like once the deal is finalised. A power struggle unfolds as the family grapples with a future in which their cultural and political influence is significantly reduced. “
Trailer: Things escalate between Logan Roy and his kids in season 4
At the beginning of October 2022, HBO showed first images from the upcoming season in a highlight trailer. After a short teaser, there is now also a long trailer for Succession season 4.
The trailer shows what the season 3 finale already hinted at: Season 4 will see the Roy siblings team up against Logan for the first time in their lives to take down the patriarch and gain control of the family empire.

HBO already confirmed large parts of the season 4 cast. Specifically (back) will be: Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Matthew Macfadyen, J. Alexander Skarsgård will return as tech entrepreneur Lukas Matsson. And we haven’t seen the last of Justin Kirk in season 3 either in the role of a right-wing politician with a Hitler fetish.
Start Date: When does Succession season 4 start?
