These figures should not be missing from any Deadpool movie: Now 2 are too

In “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2” they were already responsible for some of the best gags and apparently this is to remain so in “Deadpool 3”: Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) and Dopiner (Karan Soni) are back at it again!

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are (of course) on board, as is Emma Corrin (“The Crown”) as the villain and, more recently, Matthew Macfadyen (“Succession) in a role that is described in many places as a “third wheel on the wagon”, so presumably in “Deadpool 3” he will somehow nip at the heels of the main character duo Deadpool and Wolverine. But of course, this is not the complete cast of the third “Deadpool” film.

As reported by US industry magazine Deadline, Leslie Uggams and Karan Soni will reprise their familiar roles from “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2” as Blind Al and Dopinder in “Deadpool 3. “

Blind Al we know from the first two films as the roommate (against her will?) and confidante of Deadpool, who at some point moved into the house of the older, blind woman and deposited there, among other things, a bunch of weapons, lots of cocaine and a (supposed?) cure for blindness. In “Deadpool 2”, in one of the funniest scenes, the mutant played by Ryan Reynolds takes shelter in Blind Al’s house while the lower half of his body grows back.

Dopinder, on the other hand, we meet in “Deadpool” as a taxi driver who drives the title character to not one but two of the film’s central action scenes, taking a little inspiration from Deadpool. This even goes so far that he also wants to become a hitman in “Deadpool 2”. At the end of the film he even helps Deadpool and co. in the big final fight.

What role Blind Al and Dopinder will play in “Deadpool 3” is not yet known. However, we assume that the two fan favourites will remain true to themselves and continue to be involved in their familiar roles as sidekicks and gag targets.

Either way, though, the appearance of Blind Al and Dopinder underscores the fact that we’re meeting the same Deadpool from the first two films in “Deadpool 3,” even though the new film is, after all, set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the first time. How exactly the character will cross over from the X-Men universe to the Avengers universe has not yet been officially confirmed. Hugh Jackman, however, may have let slip a hint: There will probably be travels through time and through the Marvel multiverse…
