Stream Avatar 2 at home on Amazon and Co.

Avatar is available from Amazon and other providers as a so-called digital purchase from Tuesday, 4 April 2023. That means you own the film permanently and store it in your library at Amazon, YouTube or Google Play. There, the film currently costs 16.99 euros, which is as much as an average cinema ticket for the blockbuster.

Is Avatar 2 already on Disney+?

The Disney+ launch of Avatar 2 will probably take a little longer. A launch in the Disney+ flat rate has not yet been announced. A streaming page for Avatar 2 already exists on Disney+ *. But the status there remains unchanged: “Now exclusively in the cinema”.

When is it coming? Shortly after the theatrical release, we expected a May 2023 release, which still seems realistic today. The company is unlikely to wait too long, because a release on Disney+ is extremely attractive for potential new customers.

Avatar 2 comes with a lot of bonus material in the home cinema version

When you buy Avatar 2, you get a total of 6 hours and 22 minutes of material: the pure running time of the film is 3 hours and 12 minutes. The rest is bonus material. This can be additional scenes not included in the theatrical version or making-of documentaries. Both offer great appeal, because the shooting of Avatar 2 was incredibly elaborate and spectacular.

What is Avatar 2 about?

After most of the hostile humans in Avatar have been driven from Pandora, peace returns to the Na’vi natives for a short time. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) has now become one of them and, with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), devotes himself to getting to know his new home better. Their growing family is now made up of two sons Neteyam (Jamie Flatters) and Lo’ak (Britain Dalton), youngest daughter Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss) as well as adopted daughter Kiri (Sigourney Weaver) and orphaned human child Spider (Jack Champion).

But the human invaders don’t stay away from Pandora for long. After their return to the planet, the fight against the exploiters continues. At the same time, the hunt is on for the defected Sully and thus also for his relatives. Jake decides to protect the Na’vi of the forest by hiding out with his family among the Metkayina water tribe.
