When is the best time to go to the bathroom in John Wick: Chapter 4? Given the running time of almost 170 minutes, that’s not a far-fetched question at all. After all, you don’t want to miss any of the action scenes.

Director Chad Stahelski has apparently thought about the constitution of his audience’s bladders and included a spot in the action film starring Keanu Reeves that is perfect for this.

This is the perfect moment for a bathroom break in John Wick: Chapter 4

In an interview with Discussing Film Stahelski was asked about the length (169 minutes) of his film. At first he clarified that Chapter 4 was much rather 159 minutes long, because the credits alone devour almost 10 minutes. Then, however, he came to talk of his own accord about the urgent needs of his international audience.

The ideal moment for a toilet break in John Wick: Chapter 4 comes after the fight in the Berlin Waterfall Club. At least that’s what the director explains.

Wick fights Killa (Scott Adkins) after the poker game, in the process they brawl in his club decorated with waterfalls. It’s one of the best action scenes in a film rich in good action scenes. Afterwards, Wick drops in on his Berlin relatives again to show the golden proof of his accomplished mission. Stahelski on this:

” I put this in so you can go to the bathroom. It’s a good moment for that and when you come back, [you haven’t missed anything important]. “

In fact, in that time, you would only miss Wick being taken in by the Ruska Roma family and receiving a brand. This allows him to challenge the Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) to a duel in front of the High Table.
