Story: What is the plot of Rebel Moon?
Rebel Moon is about a moon on the edge of the galaxy whose inhabitants:inside are to be oppressed by a violent tyrant named Balisarius (Ed Skrein). They send a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) to assemble an army on the surrounding planets to fight the brutal ruler.
Before the new sequel trilogy, Snyder already pitched his idea for Rebel Moon to Disney as a new Star Wars film. However, the company turned the director down. It was only about 10 years later that the film could be realised with the support of Netflix. The plot of Rebel Moon was heavily inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s classic The Seven Samurai.
