Indiana Jones 5 is already a monster of a blockbuster. The next part of the adventure series with Harrison Ford will not only be extremely expensive, but also very long.
Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny is set to close out Harrison Ford’s appearances as the slouch-hatted archaeologist with a bang. To do this, Disney is not only investing a lot of money, but also creating an epic setting in terms of running time. Chief producer Kathleen Kennedy now revealed how long the blockbuster is expected to go.
Indiana Jones 5 will be the longest film in the series, which once started at 115 minutes
Talking to Collider, Kennedy announced a running time of “about two hours and 22 [or] 23 minutes.” There had been a lot of talk about how the early films in the series had been much shorter. Ultimately, however, it is the feeling that decides the right length of the film. And Indiana Jones 5 doesn’t feel like a long film.

In fact, just films like Raiders of the Lost Ark or Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom are very different from their latest sequel in this respect. They are 115 and 118 minutes long respectively. Incidentally, they were much cheaper. Indiana Jones 5 is said to cost a mind-boggling amount of money.
When is Indiana Jones 5 coming to the cinema?
Whether a long fifth installment in the series is good or bad is for each fan to decide for themselves. Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to hit the cinema on 29 June 2023. In addition to Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), among others, is in front of the camera.
