Netflix has released the new trailer for Blood and Gold. The Nazi western looks like Quentin Tarantino made Inglourious Basterds 2. And promises a lot of fun.
Bloodthirsty SS henchmen, a hulking deserter and a massive hoard of gold. These are not the main ingredients of an Inglourious Basterds sequel by Quentin Tarantino, but of the Netflix action smash Blood and Gold. Judging by the new trailer, no fan of the Pulp Fiction director should miss the film.

Netflix action follows in Quentin Tarantino footsteps with Nazi western
Blood and Gold is set in the spring of 1945. The deserter Heinrich (Robert Maaser) is strung up by the SS, but is saved at the last moment by the farmer’s wife Elsa (Marie Hacke). Heinrich really just wants to get home to his wife and daughter, but once again stumbles across sinister SS henchmen. In their search for a Jewish treasure of gold, they put an entire village through the wringer, but they haven’t reckoned with the two Nazi opponents.
The bloody campaign against the fascists is strongly reminiscent of Til Schweiger’s scenes from Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds in both story and production. The film was directed by Peter Thorwarth, whose film Blood Red Sky has already been celebrated in genre circles.
When is Blood and Gold coming to Netflix?
Blood and Gold is scheduled for release on Netflix on 26 May 2023. In addition to Maaser and Hacke, the actors in front of the camera include Alexander Scheer (Gundermann) and Juri Raphael Senft (Im Nachtlicht).
