On TV: Vin Diesel made sci-fi director go berserk during filming

Director Mathieu Kassovitz had been working on bringing the sci-fi story about a taciturn mercenary and his protégé (Mélanie Thierry) to the screen for several years before filming began. He finally got the money together, 20th Century Fox wanted to produce the film, and signed Diesel as the star for the lead role.
