Amazon solves one of the biggest streaming problems – but not (yet) for

Amazon has introduced a new sound function for the first movies and series, with which dialogues can be turned up or down. Besides too dark picture, it is one of the biggest streaming problems.

In addition to a picture that is often set too dark, one of the most annoying streaming problems is that the sound in movies and series has to be constantly turned up or down compared to the background noise and music. Amazon has now introduced a new feature for Prime Video that solves this problem. The function, which could revolutionize streaming behavior, can already be tested on the provider with the first titles.

Amazon introduces feature that lets you turn dialog louder or softer

According to IndieWire, the company has used AI technology to develop the new feature called Dialogue Boost. This allows dialogues to be made louder or softer without affecting the rest of the sound.

So far, the new feature is available on the series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Harlem, as well as the movies The Big Sick, Being the Ricardos and Beautiful Boy. More titles are expected to be added later this year.

According to IndieWire, Dialogue Boost allows the dialogue of the Jack Ryan series to be turned up in quiet scenes, for example, without the sound having to be turned down again immediately during an action scene or explosion.
