New action thriller with mega stars revealed as Bond competition
According to Deadline Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry will star in the upcoming spy thriller Maude v Maude, to be directed by Roseanne Liang. To date, she has been shooting the romantic comedy My Wedding and Other Secrets.
Content details on the action project are not yet available. So far, it’s only described as a Bond vs. Bourne-like film. Filming locations are said to be scattered around the world.
Having already played a Bond girl herself in James Bond 007 – Die Another Day, Berry most recently proved her action prowess in John Wick: Chapter 3 alongside Keanu Reeves, among others. Jolie, too, has already given her secret agent credentials with roles in films like Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Salt.
A start date for Maude v Maude has not been announced. If the project is shot this year, the action film could hit theaters in 2024.
