Netflix has released the teaser trailer for season 3 of The Witcher. In just a few weeks, Henry Cavill’s big fantasy farewell launches on the streaming service.
Long have we waited. Now there are finally the first moving images from the 3rd season of The Witcher. The mood is depressed and Henry Cavill moves through the eerie fantasy setting. “For the first time I understand what true fear means,” reveals the hero of the story, who must face his greatest opponent.
Season 3 of The Witcher will be particularly exciting, as it is basically the finale of the series in its current form. It has been clear for some time that Cavill will step in front of the camera for the last time as Geralt of Riva. After this adventure, Liam Hemsworth will take over the part of the legendary sorcerer who fights monsters.

Not too much info is known about the plot of the 3rd season yet. In the official press release, Netflix nevertheless reveals a few details that give us a rough overview of what to expect in the new The Witcher episodes.
“While monarchs, mages, and beasts of the continent vie for her, Geralt of Riva hides Ciri of Cintra – determined to protect his reunited family from those who threaten to destroy them. Yennefer, entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, leads the two to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to find out more about the girl’s undiscovered powers. But they end up in a battlefield of corruption, dark magic and betrayal. They must put everything on the line or risk losing each other forever. “
Now we can be curious what the creative minds around showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich have come up with for Cavill’s farewell performance as Geralt of Riva.
