Prosthetics belong to the realm of makeup artists in a film production. They include everything that needs to be attached to the bodies of the actors:inside. They can be masks, arms, wounds, five extra eyes or two meter-long ears. According to the report, the Marvel movie has taken the world record from the previous prosthetic king, The Grinch. Almost more incredible, however, is the development within its own series: the first Guardians movie had to make do with only 1,200 prosthetics.
Prosthetics on the head
This enormous effort shows in the film. After all, not only the usual suspects like Mantis (Pom Klementieff) or Nebula (Karen Gillan) had to be fitted with prosthetics, but also many new characters like the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).
