Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has set a new world record. More than 23,000 prosthetics were built for the makeup of countless Marvel characters.

According to the report, the Marvel movie has taken the world record from the previous prosthetic king, The Grinch. Almost more incredible, however, is the development within its own series: the first Guardians movie had to make do with only 1,200 prosthetics.

This enormous effort shows in the film. After all, not only the usual suspects like Mantis (Pom Klementieff) or Nebula (Karen Gillan) had to be fitted with prosthetics, but also many new characters like the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).
