“He was doing so well last time”: TAAHM star is ready for reunion in

by Mike

The careers of two Two and a Half Men stars are picking up right now. Charlie Sheen is getting a new series. Rose actress Melanie Lynskey is a celebrated series star. Will they meet in the planned comedy?

She was there from the first hour to the bitter end: in the sitcom Two and a Half Men Melanie Lynskey played the neighbor and stalker Rose for twelve years. The character lived next door to the beachfront estate of Charlie Sheen’s character Charlie Harper.

Melanie Lynskey’s career is blossoming right now, she’s starring in every major series it feels like. Charlie Sheen, too, is apparently on the upswing again after a difficult few years. 12 years after being kicked off TAAHM, series creator Chuck Lorre and Sheen have reconciled and are planning a joint series that sounds like Two and a Half Men 2.0. Perfect for an appearance by the former Rose actress, right?

Charlie Sheen’s new series is a comedy again

In Charlie Sheen’s comedy series How to Be a Bookie, a veteran Los Angeles bettor struggles to maintain his business, which is threatened by the legalization of sports betting. Along the way, he navigates his family, colleagues and unstable customers. Charlie Sheen is slated to have a recurring role. What does Rose actress Melanie Lynskey have to say about appearing in How to Be a Bookie.

At a Variety event with Melanie Lynskey, the conversation turned to Charlie Sheen. She wishes him nothing but the best, Lynskey said. “The last time I wrote with Charlie, he was doing so well.”

Lynskey has also heard about the new Chuck Lorre/Charlie Sheen collaboration. “If they wanted me to perform, I would do it,” she said. She recalled “such funny moments” on Two and a Half Men – and referenced her great passion for comedy. The actress has recently moved away from that genre. She stars in the acclaimed thriller series Yellowjackets, starred as Leonardo DiCaprio’s wife in the Netflix hit Don’t Look Up, and made a guest appearance in the equally acclaimed horror series The Last of Us.
